Inspriational Poem by Rudyard kipling

Rudyard Kipling

POEM FOR STRUGGLERS

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too:
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise;

If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim,
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same:.
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build'em up with worn-out tools;

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings,
And never breathe a word about your loss:
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except for the Will which says to them: "Hold on!"

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much:
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

HISTORY OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

History of Community Development Programmes in India HISTORY OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT' The concept of community development in India was initiated well before independence. Even during the struggle for independence, under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi, considerable attention was given to rural development and reconstruction.   Gandhi advocated for communal harmony, economic equality, social equality, recovery from alcohol and narcotics addiction, promotion of ‘Khadi’ (hand-woven cloth) and village industries, sanitation, health care, education and empowerment of women. The aim was to generate gainful employment in rural areas and to improve the quality of life that would ultimately lead to community development. After the independence of India in 1947, community development assumed higher priority.   In 1948, a pilot community development project was launched through the Etawah Project in Uttar Pradesh. Attributes of Leader

The major attributes of leadership                                           1.        Unwavering courage: - An intelligent follower will only follow the courageous leader who has the blazing attitude of self confidence, patience, the power to speak, the power to sip the criticism and the one who has an immense amount of self-esteem and self-confidence.      2.      Self-control: - The person, who cannot control himself/herself, can never control others. Self-control sets a mighty example for one's followers, which the more intelligent will emulate. It directly leads to patience and persistence where an extreme amount of hard work is needed with no possible outcome is seen and the work is done under dark shades and negative whispers of devils and it is what the Ground reality is called.       ...
